Dont Let Me Fall (DJ Supermarkt's "Goodbye Bob" Softrock Disco Edit) - Bob Welch

Thanks to Marcus Liesenfeld aka DJ Supermarkt for this edit of a track by Bob Welch, who took his own life last week. Best known as a member of Fleetwood Mac from 1971-1974, Welch described his time in the hand as "the bridge era" between the blues sound of the 1960s and the soft rock gold of the mid-to-late 1970s. "It was a transition," he said. "But it was an important period in the history of the band. Mick Fleetwood dedicated a whole chapter of his biography to my era of the band and credited me with 'saving Fleetwood Mac'. Mick and I co-managed the group for years. I'm the one who brought the band to Los Angeles from England, which put them in the position of hooking up with Lindsey and Stevie. I saw the band through a whole period where they barely survived, literally."

Welch went on to have a solo career, and the highlights were French Kiss in 1977 and The Other One in 1979, which features the original version of 'Don't Let Me Fall'.
